BA3a Week 7 Review

I created a twig to feature in my environment as a point of reference for scale. It turned out wrong, not looking natural enough and only detracting from the environments believability.


High poly sculpted in Zbrush using Zspheres


Retop in Maya took a long time, reduced by over 3,000,000 tris


All the way down to 9,604


I textured my twig in Substance Painter

I didn't unwrap this mesh properly as I wanted to see if it worked in my environment first, which it doesn't. I may still use it as a distant piece of scenery, though I could accomplish the same with textured planar surfaces.
