BA3a Week 2 Review
I had another go at my insect egg mould this week, managed to get it looking less like a chicken drumstick.
I added more height variation to the stem of the mould and duplicated two copies which I bent to create a total of three variations of mould all to be textured individually. |

Each of these variants of my Insect Egg Slime Mould was textured in Substance Painter exclusively, the renders were produced in Painter also.
Realising I was getting a little far ahead of myself, I modelled some very low poly moulds that look strikingly like mushrooms, these will be used as low level foliage in my environment with low resolution texture maps.
I call this one "bigge top slime mould" it needs to be retopologised and textured.
These smaller slime moulds will be used as grass-style foliage in my environment.
I created a blockout environment in Maya using all of my meshes produced so far. This scene would be a nice centerpoint in my environment. Making this helped me to visualise my final outcome a little better, giving me a much needed morale boost.
